Correx Signs

Correx is a lightweight, rigid sheet of corrugated plastic, made from two flat plastic layers with a ribbed (fluted) core between them. That structure makes it strong for its weight, waterproof, and quick to cut. You may also see it called corrugated plastic, Corriboard, Corflute, or Coreflute. (CONFIRM: preferred wording, as Correx is a brand name)

A Correx sign is simply a Correx board with your artwork printed directly onto it, cut to the size you need. They suit estate agent boards, building site signs, directional and event signs, advertising boards, campaign and election boards, lamp post signs, parking signs, and temporary promotions.

Why Choose Correx Signs?

  • Waterproof and weather-ready: The plastic doesn't soak up water or rot, so Correx copes well with rain and damp for short- to medium-term outdoor use. (CONFIRM: weather-resistance and expected outdoor lifespan claims)

  • Very light: Easy to carry, easy to hang, easy to put up and take down, which is ideal for temporary signage and large quantities.

  • Affordable and good value: Correx is the most cost-effective rigid sign material, so it suits big runs, short campaigns, and tight budgets.

  • Quick to make: Printed and cut quickly, so it's perfect when time is tight. (CONFIRM: same-day or next-day availability and cut-off times)

  • Bold, clear print: Full-colour print gives you a clear, eye-catching sign that reads from a distance. (CONFIRM: print method and inks)

  • Any size or shape: From A5 to A0 and beyond, cut to size and shaped if you need it. (CONFIRM: maximum size and custom shapes)

Tips for Correx Signs That Get Noticed

  • Keep the message short: Five to seven words work best on a sign read in passing.

  • Make text big and bold: If someone can't read it from the distance they'll see it at, it's too small.

  • Use high contrast: Yellow on black, white on dark blue, and black on white all read well outdoors.

  • Choose the right thickness: Go thicker for bigger boards, windy spots, or signs that need to stay flat.

  • Think about fixings: Cable ties, stakes, H-frames, screws, and adhesive suit different surfaces. We'll advise. (CONFIRM: fixings offered)

  • Check local rules: Signs on public land, lamp posts, and verges may need permission from your local council.

It depends on weather, sunlight and how they're fixed. Many Correx signs stay in good condition for weeks or months, and longer in sheltered spots. For long-term outdoor use, Dibond is a better choice.
