Will Magnetic Signs Fit My Van?

Start by checking the panel material, shape and available space:

• Check for steel: magnets do not attach to aluminium or plastic. A small magnet can help identify the panel material, but the finished sign still needs a suitable surface and full contact.

• It must be flat. Avoid ribs, deep curves, swage lines, door handles and fuel caps. The sign needs full contact to stay put.

• Measure the flat area. Measure the largest smooth part of the panel, and we'll size your sign to fit inside it.

Regular checks, cleaning and careful storage help keep the signs and vehicle surface in good condition. Follow the specific guidance supplied with your order.

• Remove and clean regularly: take the signs off, wipe the van and the back of the magnet, and let both dry before refitting. Follow the supplied cleaning schedule.

• Fit on a clean, dry panel: Dirt or water underneath can mark the paint and weaken the grip.

• Smooth from the centre out: Press from the middle to the edges so there are no air pockets.

• Take them off for the car wash: Brushes and pressure washers can lift the edges.

• Store them flat: Keep them flat or on a steel surface, never folded, and out of direct heat.

• Avoid fresh paint: ask your vehicle painter when a respray is fully cured and suitable for a magnetic sign before fitting it.
