Custom Vinyl Signs: Vinyl Lettering, Vinyl Graphics and Vinyl Printing for Shops, Windows and Walls, Made to Measure in the UK

It’s Friday afternoon, and the sale ended at five. The window still shouts last month’s offer.

That’s where vinyl earns its keep. It’s quick to make, quick to put up and quick to change, and it makes a plain pane of glass, a blank wall or a flat board look like a brand in a matter of minutes. A bold logo on the shop door. Your opening hours in clean white letters. A full-colour graphic that finally tells passers-by what you actually do.

We design and make custom vinyl signs in our own High Wycombe factory: vinyl lettering, printed vinyl graphics, window vinyl, vinyl wall graphics and vinyl posters. Send us a photo of the surface and your logo, or just a rough idea, and we’ll come back with a design, a clear price and an honest ready-by time. We check your artwork for free, and nothing is made until you approve your proof.

What Are Vinyl Signs?

A vinyl sign is a sign made from vinyl, a thin, flexible, self-adhesive material that sticks to glass, walls, boards, vehicles and other smooth surfaces. You might hear it called sign vinyl, adhesive vinyl or self adhesive vinyl signs. It comes in two main kinds, and the difference matters:

  • Cut vinyl: the shape is cut out of coloured vinyl, so you get clean, solid letters or logos with no background. This is what people mean by vinyl lettering or vinyl cut lettering.

  • Printed vinyl: the artwork is printed onto the vinyl in full colour, then trimmed to shape. This is how we make vinyl graphics, vinyl posters and photographic prints.

Both give you a sharp, professional result for a fraction of the cost of a fabricated sign, and both are easy to update when your offers, hours or branding change.

Our Custom Vinyl Sign Options

Vinyl Lettering & Cut Vinyl Signs

Sharp, solid vinyl lettering in any font and any colour, cut to shape and fixed to the surface. It’s the classic choice for shop windows, door signs, opening hours, business names and phone numbers. If you’ve been searching for vinyl lettering online, vinyl writing or vinyl cut lettering in the UK, this is it. Send us your wording and we’ll lay it out for you.

Best for: shop windows, doors, display cabinets, offices and vehicles.

Printed Vinyl Signs & Vinyl Graphics

Full-colour printed vinyl for logos, photographs, patterns and detailed artwork. Vinyl graphics are perfect when you want more than a single colour: a product image, a gradient, a photo or a busy brand design. Vinyl print is also great for large-format graphics on boards and panels.

Best for: shop interiors, display boards, feature panels and promotional graphics.

Window Vinyl Printing

Turn your windows into advertising space. Window vinyl printing can be a bold full-colour graphic, simple lettering or a frosted-effect panel for privacy. It works hard for you every hour you’re open and every hour you’re not.

Best for: shop fronts, offices, salons, clinics and restaurants.

Vinyl Wall Graphics & Custom Wall Vinyl

Vinyl wall graphics and custom wall vinyl can cover a whole feature wall with a mural, pattern or your logo, or add a simple message to a plain one. Wall vinyl printing suits smooth, painted surfaces. For large wall graphics, murals and full branded interiors, see our interior wall design page, and for signs you can fix to a wall, take a look at our wall signs.

Vinyl Posters

Vinyl posters are a tougher, wipe-clean alternative to paper, ideal for window displays, in-store promotions and menus. Vinyl poster printing gives you bright, long-lasting colour without a frame.

Best for: promotions, windows, menus, events and retail displays.

Vinyl Decals & Stickers

Custom vinyl decals and stickers, from small logos to larger shapes, cut or printed to your design. If you need vinyl decals in letters, shapes or your logo, send us the artwork.

Logo on Vinyl & Vinyl Logo Signs

Your logo on vinyl is the quickest way to brand a window, door, wall or van. A vinyl logo can be cut in solid colour or printed in full colour, and it’s easy to size to fit. Want a raised version instead? Our 3D lettering signage adds real depth.

Outdoor Self Adhesive Vinyl Signs

Self adhesive vinyl signs work outdoors on glass, boards and prepared surfaces, with the right material and finish. Outdoor self adhesive vinyl signs are popular for shop fronts, notices and vehicle graphics. Tell us where the sign will live, and we’ll recommend the right vinyl.

Vinyl for Vehicles

Vinyl is the go-to for vehicle graphics. If you want your company name, phone number and logo on a van, take a look at our van signs and magnetic van signs.

Vinyl Banners

Looking for vinyl banners? Those are printed on tough PVC with hemmed edges and eyelets, ready to hang. We cover them in depth on our PVC banners page. They’re great as custom vinyl banners for fences, shop fronts and events, with large vinyl banners, outdoor vinyl banners and vinyl advertising banners all made to your size. For windy sites, see our mesh banners.

Materials, Finishes & Surfaces

Vinyl type: self adhesive vinyl, in permanent or removable adhesive, depending on how long the sign needs to stay.

Finishes: gloss, matt, clear and frosted-effect. Gloss is bold and bright, matt is calmer and reduces glare.

Colours: a wide range of cut vinyl colours, plus full colour for printed vinyl.

Surfaces: vinyl suits glass, smooth painted walls, boards, panels, metal and vehicles. It doesn’t suit rough, damp or flaking surfaces, so tell us what the surface is.

Not sure what suits your surface? We’ll recommend the right vinyl, even if it’s the simpler one.

See It Before It’s Made

Buying vinyl is easier when you can see it. Send us a photo of your window, wall or door, and we’ll mock up your design on it, so you can judge the size, colour and layout before anything is cut. Want to see your whole shop front or interior? Our 3D shop visualisation service can show it in realistic 3D.

Vinyl Design Tips: Get the Look Right

  • Keep it simple. One logo and one short message beat a crowded graphic.

  • Choose bold fonts. Thicker letters cut cleanly and read from further away.

  • Use high contrast. White on dark glass and dark on light both read well, depending on the light behind.

  • Think about the window. Glass shows what’s behind it, so test colours against your interior.

  • Send a vector logo. PDF, AI or EPS files give the sharpest cut and print.

  • Measure carefully. Width, height, handles, hinges and frames all affect what fits.

  • Plan for change. If your offers change often, use removable vinyl or a separate panel for the changing part.

Fitting & Applying Your Vinyl

Our vinyl is made to be applied. Smaller pieces come with simple instructions, and larger or higher pieces are best fitted by a professional. We can design, make and fit custom signs for shops, offices and businesses across the UK, so ask us about fitting when you request your quote.

How Much Do Vinyl Signs Cost?

People often search for the cost of vinyl lettering or vinyl printing, and fair enough: you want to know what you’re getting into. The honest answer is that price depends on size, whether it’s cut or printed, how many colours, the type of vinyl and whether it needs fitting. Because every vinyl sign is made to order, we quote each one clearly, with no hidden extras. Send us a photo of the surface and the size, and we’ll give you a price with no obligation.

Where Vinyl Signs Work Best

  • Shop windows and doors: opening hours, logos, offers and window graphics

  • Salons, clinics and offices: clean, polished branding and privacy panels

  • Restaurants, cafés and bars: menus, specials and feature walls

  • Retail interiors: zone signs, product graphics and vinyl posters

  • Walls and reception areas: logos and graphics, with wall signs for added depth

  • Vehicles: company names and contact details

  • Schools, gyms and community spaces: bright, motivational and informational graphics

  • Events and exhibitions: quick graphics for walls, floors and boards
